Celebrating Dan and Cindy's Retirement

Join Us in Celebrating the Retirement of Dan and Cindy

After living in Poland for a few years and falling in love with the beauty and functionality of Polish pottery, our founder, Dan, decided to begin importing it to the United States in 2005.
Starting with just a handful of shapes and patterns, it didn't take long for the word to get out about this beautiful, handmade, hand-painted product.
The Polish Pottery Outlet quickly grew from a small business operating out of a storage unit, into one of America's preeminent suppliers of heirloom quality pottery imported directly from Boleslawiec, Poland.
Dan and Cindy worked hard to make their store a fun and welcoming place to shop, with customers coming back again and again to enjoy the wide selection, reasonable prices, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Polish Pottery mugs in Poland
With the help of their Polish partner, Waldek, they forged strong bonds with many of the manufacturers in Boleslawiec, and were able to bring the unique artistry, history, and culture of Poland to households all over the United States.
Polish Pottery business Partners
Thanks to wonderful customers like you, The Polish Pottery Outlet has survived an economic recession, multiple sinkholes, and a global pandemic.
After 17 years of hard work and dedication, Dan and Cindy decided it was time to retire. They officially sold the business in February 2022.
Polish Pottery Outlet Owners
The new owners, Kari, Julie, and Minda, along with our managers, Andrew and Kim, and other amazing team members, are incredibly excited to build on their success and will continue to provide the same high quality service that The Polish Pottery Outlet has become known for over the years.
Dan and Cindy are thrilled to have a chance to relax and spend more time with their families.
Cindy has been keeping herself busy working on her garden, baking sourdough bread, and playing pickleball, while Dan has taken this opportunity to work on his golf game.

They've also been happy to catch up on household projects while spending time with their Miniature Australian Shepherd, Potter, and his new little brother, Latte.
While they won't be at the store anymore, we have remained in contact with them and are happy to pass along any messages or well wishes!

Best wishes on your retirement and future plans. I am forever grateful to you for employing my daughter, Kristen, in the early days. She learned a lot and I got “hooked” on Polish pottery. Thank you for all you have done!

Leslie Stevenson,

I was trying to write something really cool and interesting but basically I love my pottery, I love your dog, I love the emails & humor. I will miss everything about you both and wish many blessings with your new endeavors. I’m sure that the new kids will do a wonderful job but you both will be missed very much.

Christine Kovacs,

Dan and Cindy I wish you all the best in your retirement. Well deserved and earned. You always treated my late Mom and me with so much kindness and care. I thank you so much!

Janet,

May you have a most happy retirement! I loved your shop, and spent many happy hours choosing pieces and patterns. Loved to bring friends and introduce them to the “Wall of Mugs!” I use my polish pottery every day, and have made many a casserole and loaves of bread in your wonderful product. All best wishes to you both, Mary

PS: I’m the person who reminds Cindy of her great-grandmother!

Mary Sacoman,

Congratulations on your retirement!!! It’s wonderful to hear that you are enjoying more free time. Dave, also is working on his golf game and I have been happy to catch up on projects around the house!
We will always be grateful for you introducing us to Polish Pottery! And for working with us over the years when we were buying for Reverie.
Blessings in your retirement!!

Rose and Dave Widmer,

I’ve been shopping at the PPO for years-since it was located in the strip behind the current location- and EVERY SINGLE TIME had the best customer service. Even when I had my little boy with me at the 1st Christmas in July sale and there were hundreds of people, Dan went out of his way to help me find all the pieces I was looking for that day! Cindy is always the sweetest. I’m sure the new owners love the same things about the PPO as the customers and will continue the great service and products. Thank you, Dan and Cindy and happy travels!

Carrie,

Thanks and blessings for all the happiness and sharing you have done through the years. Being a dog lover, your stories were endearing. All the Best to your retirement.

Linda,

Blessings to you both. May your new journey be fun filled and rewarding. ENJOY. ENJOY. ENJOY
