Celebrating Dan and Cindy's Retirement

Join Us in Celebrating the Retirement of Dan and Cindy

After living in Poland for a few years and falling in love with the beauty and functionality of Polish pottery, our founder, Dan, decided to begin importing it to the United States in 2005.
Starting with just a handful of shapes and patterns, it didn't take long for the word to get out about this beautiful, handmade, hand-painted product.
The Polish Pottery Outlet quickly grew from a small business operating out of a storage unit, into one of America's preeminent suppliers of heirloom quality pottery imported directly from Boleslawiec, Poland.
Dan and Cindy worked hard to make their store a fun and welcoming place to shop, with customers coming back again and again to enjoy the wide selection, reasonable prices, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Polish Pottery mugs in Poland
With the help of their Polish partner, Waldek, they forged strong bonds with many of the manufacturers in Boleslawiec, and were able to bring the unique artistry, history, and culture of Poland to households all over the United States.
Polish Pottery business Partners
Thanks to wonderful customers like you, The Polish Pottery Outlet has survived an economic recession, multiple sinkholes, and a global pandemic.
After 17 years of hard work and dedication, Dan and Cindy decided it was time to retire. They officially sold the business in February 2022.
Polish Pottery Outlet Owners
The new owners, Kari, Julie, and Minda, along with our managers, Andrew and Kim, and other amazing team members, are incredibly excited to build on their success and will continue to provide the same high quality service that The Polish Pottery Outlet has become known for over the years.
Dan and Cindy are thrilled to have a chance to relax and spend more time with their families.
Cindy has been keeping herself busy working on her garden, baking sourdough bread, and playing pickleball, while Dan has taken this opportunity to work on his golf game.

They've also been happy to catch up on household projects while spending time with their Miniature Australian Shepherd, Potter, and his new little brother, Latte.
While they won't be at the store anymore, we have remained in contact with them and are happy to pass along any messages or well wishes!

Congratulations on your retirement, Dan and Cindy. I have been a longtime follower and PP graces my table for every meal! I love the sturdiness and beauty of all my pieces and how easily all the patterns “mix and match”! Enjoy the next phase of your life and remember the happiness that your products have brought to your customers.

Rosemary Moreno,

Happy retirement, Dan and Cindy you two are the best. I have always loved going to ppo, Cindy seems always to be there and greets me at the door or finds me wandering the pottery, ready to help, talks to me or tells me a story. Ppo has always had the best customer service, all staff is friendly and efficient, and welcomes you back time after time. You just feel good after the experience and the pottery is beautiful. I love my polish pottery use it everyday, friends and family that visit always comment on the patterns they like picking out thier favorite cup of the day. I take all my friends and family to the outlet and tell others about it. I look forward to the emails and perusing the new items and patterns. This is how a business should be run good job to the two of you and congratulations on your retirement. Kathy

Congratulations you two! A well earned retirement. Enjoy every minute!
My house as well as our son’s are well stocked with Polish pottery. Perfect, as I am half Polish!
Thank you for all your hard work over the years bringing us this beautiful pottery.
It appears you have left your business in good hands!🥰

Kathleen Brakke,

I’m so very happy for you and this new chapter in your lives, Cindy and Dan! Gosh! It feels like a wonderful new beginning with your new PPO friends, and soon to be my friends as well. I’ve been grateful to you for your long-distance help obtaining all my beloved PP for me as I’ve moved from state to state. All Gods Blessings to you both as your retirement journey begins. 😊❤️

Barb Hellerstedt,

Dear Dan and Cindy!
What an extreme pleasure it has been to get to know you both. Cindy I still remember how much time and fun I had with you picking out all of my dinner ware. I wish you well and I am sending many congratulations and love on your retirement! 😘😍💕🙏🏻💞

Annamarie Mead,

Dear Dan and Cindy, Congratulations on your retirement. Thank you for always welcoming me into your store. I always found the perfect Polish piece to add to my collection or to send as a gift. I’ve been in the store recently and was welcomed and helped just the same as I always have been. I loved Magnum and then Potter and have now met the new shop dogs. They’re great, too. Enjoy retirement! Sincerely, Jennie Pirog Shipman

Jennie Pirog Shipman,

Dearest Cindy and Dan,
It won’t be the same as my previous trips to the store. I will never ever forget my trips to the store that turned into hours. Remember my husband saying “ I have no thoughts” I hope we can still chat on FB and I hope to see you guys. If you are gonna be in COS please call me. I wish you the absolute best in retirement and many years of happiness. You all made me appreciate my pottery and I love it. Love you to the moon and back.

LauraJean Hawley,

God bless you in this new retirement adventure in your lives! Thank you from my heart for all the Polish pottery I have purchased through your shop these last eight or so years…….and for being located right in my sister’s backyard in Colorado!! Even though we have been to Poland, traveling with dear friends stationed near there, any Polish pottery for sale was quite expensive. The beauty and variety of patterns available in your store always amazed and delighted me! Wishing many happy retirement years together!

Pamela,

Dan & Cindy,
It won’t be the same walking into the store with you not there! I always felt like I was visiting friends when coming in. I wish you two a very happy retirement and happiness and good health to enjoy it! I, too use my Polish Pottery every day and smile when I do… each piece is unique & special, just like you two. I do hope our paths will cross again someday, somewhere… but it won’t as beautiful as PPO! ♥️

Gabrielle Handley,
