Description
Imagine a little enchantment lighting up your home this season with the charming Polish Pottery Luminary Gnome. Standing at a petite 6.5 inches and handcrafted by the renowned artisans at Galia, this delightful gnome is not just a decorative piece but a magical light source too! With a cleverly designed opening at the bottom, it accommodates either a real or battery-operated tealight. As the light flickers inside, watch as your gnome casts a warm, inviting glow through the "Winter Wreath" pattern, bringing a cozy, festive spirit to any room.
The "Winter Wreath" pattern itself is a celebration of traditional Polish artistry, adorned in a predominantly green color with playful accents of blue and red. Blue snowflakes dance around a border of green garland and red berries, all framed by a solid cobalt blue rim. This design, created using the age-old "punching" technique, showcases the skill of Galia's artisans. Each piece, though part of the Traditional level of artistry—the most recognizable in Polish pottery—is unique, thanks to the individual touches of the various artists. This means your gnome will not only be a source of light but also a one-of-a-kind art piece!
Hand-painted in the historic town of Boleslawiec, Poland, this luminary gnome embodies the durability and beauty Polish pottery is known for. Made from high-quality materials, it is tough, chip-resistant, and free from harmful substances like Lead, Nickel, or Cadmium. Galia, a family-owned company with a rich legacy in producing hand-decorated Polish stoneware, continues to enchant with their exquisite designs and impeccable craftsmanship. So, why not let this adorable gnome add a touch of whimsy and tradition to your décor? Mix and match with other pieces to create stunning combinations that will surely impress your guests and make your home a storytelling haven of colors and lights.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
