Description

Imagine a table setting that not only impresses your guests but also carries a story in every piece. The Polish Pottery Chopstick Rest from Manufaktura is not just a utensil holder; it's a small canvas showcasing the enchanting "Lily of the Valley" pattern. This design, alive with delicate blue and green bellflowers twined around a vibrant white background, transforms your dining experience into a floral celebration. Crafted in the heart of Boleslawiec, Poland, each 2" x 0.5" piece is a testament to the traditional artistry that Polish pottery is renowned for. Its charming pattern, predominantly blue with touches of white and green, captures the essence of nature’s simplicity and beauty.

The "Lily of the Valley" pattern is born from a traditional "punching" technique where skilled artisans meticulously hand-stamp each design. This approach allows for a wonderful variety of patterns, each with slight variations that make every chopstick rest a unique piece of art. The traditional patterns, known for their widespread recognition and appeal, have an unlimited production run, ensuring that many can own a piece of this cultural heritage. Even more delightful is the functionality of these chopstick rests; they're crafted from high-quality materials that are tough, durable, and resistant to chipping. Free from Lead, Nickel, and Cadmium, they promise safety as well as style.

Since its establishment in 1992, Manufaktura has set the standard in Polish pottery, combining innovative designs with historical techniques to create pieces that are both functional and visually stunning. As pioneers in the industry, they've garnered international acclaim and continue to influence trends in pottery. Whether you're looking to start your collection or add to an existing ensemble, Manufaktura's pieces are perfect for mixing and matching, allowing you to create a personalized and impressive table setting. Each chopstick rest not only keeps your chopsticks neatly in place but also adds a splash of color and a touch of Polish tradition to your home decor.

Care information

Cleaning

Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.

Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:

You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.

Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!

While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
