Imagine a quaint little gnome, crafted with the utmost care by the skilled artisans of Galia, waiting to spread a magical glow in your home. This isn't just any gnome; it's a Polish Pottery Luminary Gnome, standing at a charming 6.5 inches tall. With a secretive opening at its base, it invites you to place a tealight inside—be it flickering flame or a safe, battery-operated light. Once lit, this delightful gnome casts a warm, enchanting light, illuminating the intricate "Snow Flurry" pattern that adorns its body. Picture the serene dance of blue and white snowflakes, each one uniquely stamped by hand, creating a winter wonderland right in your living room.
The "Snow Flurry" pattern is not just visually appealing but also steeped in tradition. Originating from the renowned pottery region of Boleslawiec, Poland, this design is crafted using the time-honored "punching" technique. This method involves hand-stamping each detail with precision, a testament to the traditional artistry that Polish pottery is famous for. Despite its classification as a "Traditional" pattern—indicative of its wide recognition and popularity—each piece varies slightly. This variance adds a unique charm, as numerous artists lend their individual touch to the classic motif, making each gnome a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Not only is this gnome a whimsical addition to your décor, but it's also crafted from high-quality materials that ensure durability and resistance to chipping. Completely free from lead, nickel, and cadmium, it's as safe as it is stunning. The vibrant, bold colors remain vivid, embodying the spirit of the changing seasons, a hallmark of the Galia family's legacy in producing exquisite Polish stoneware. Whether used as a solitary showpiece or paired with other Polish pottery, this gnome is sure to captivate and charm your guests, adding a splash of color and folklore to your home. Perfect for those who appreciate art that tells a story, this luminary gnome promises not only light but also a tale of craftsmanship and heritage.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
