Description
Imagine a kitchen where every detail tells a story of art and tradition—introducing the Polish Pottery Spoon Rest by W.R. Ceramika, crafted in the charming "Dot to Dot" pattern. This delightful 3.5" x 5" utensil rest isn't just a functional kitchen piece; it's a splash of European flair right in your home! Whether you're resting a steamy, soup-laden ladle or a sauce-covered spoon, this spoon rest handles the heat with grace. And when it comes to cleaning? Simply pop it in the dishwasher! Its high-quality glaze ensures that no mess sticks for long.
The "Dot to Dot" design is a playful dance of white polka dots set against a vibrant cobalt blue background, a classic look that captures the essence of Polish pottery. This pattern belongs to the Traditional level of artistry, which holds a beloved place in the hearts of ceramic enthusiasts worldwide. Each piece is hand-stamped using the age-old "punching" technique by highly skilled artisans in Boleslawiec, Poland. Due to the collective efforts of these artists, each spoon rest boasts slight variations, making your specific piece uniquely yours.
Not only is this spoon rest a testament to enduring craftsmanship, but it also represents a piece of history from W.R. Ceramika, a boutique pottery studio founded in 1978 by J.K. Rutyna. Known for their exquisite designs that often feature floral and traditional motifs, W.R. Ceramika utilizes both hand-painting and stamping techniques to achieve their distinctive look. As one of the smallest manufacturers that we partner with, and one whose creations we receive the least frequently, each item from W.R. Ceramika is truly a rare gem. Add a touch of artisan elegance to your kitchen, and let the Polish Pottery Spoon Rest be a conversation starter at your next gathering!

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
