Imagine a splash of vibrant colors and intricate designs adorning your walls, transforming your home into a gallery of folk art. The Polish Pottery Cross by Ceramika Artystyczna is not just any ordinary decoration; it's a masterpiece handcrafted in the heart of Boleslawiec, Poland. Standing at a charming 7.75 inches, this large cross, adorned in the mesmerizing "Peacock Plume" pattern, brings a touch of elegance and cultural richness to any space. The pattern itself is a visual feast, predominantly white but bursting with lively accents of green, light blue, and a striking orange. A single, majestic peacock plume sits at the center, surrounded by delicate teal dots and bordered by intricate feather designs that seem to dance along the edges.
This isn't just pottery; it's a piece of art with a story. The "Peacock Plume" pattern is classified as Unikat, meaning 'unique' in Polish, a testament to its extraordinary artistry. Unikat pieces are the zenith of Polish pottery, painted by only the most skilled artisans who have evolved their craft to create more detailed and colorful designs. Each Unikat item bears a special stamp on the bottom, marking its authenticity and signifying that the design is exclusive to Ceramika Artystyczna. The meticulous attention to detail and the vibrant interplay of colors make this cross a collector's delight and a wonderful conversation starter, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Ceramika Artystyczna, established in 1950, is not only a hallmark of traditional craftsmanship but also a co-operative that stands at the forefront of ceramic art globally. Known affectionately as "CA" among connoisseurs, the workshop has been celebrated for its high-quality materials and enduring designs, which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Each piece, including this exquisite cross, is crafted from materials that are tough, durable, and resistant to chips, free of Lead, Nickel, or Cadmium, ensuring that the beauty of the piece endures as long as its folklore. So, whether you're looking to embellish your own sanctuary or searching for a unique gift, this Polish Pottery Cross promises to be a treasure worth cherishing.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
