Introducing the Polish Pottery 16 oz. Loop Handle Bowl by Ceramika Artystyczna in the whimsical "Cat Tracks" pattern (1771). These loop-handled bowls are not only practical for enjoying soups, chilis, or stews, but they also add a touch of elegance to your dining experience. And guess what? They have a hidden talent - they can double as a gorgeous scoop for serving punch or cider! How's that for versatility?
Now, let's talk about the "Cat Tracks" pattern, shall we? Imagine a world where cats and paw prints come together to create a mesmerizing design. In this pattern, you'll find small dark blue paw prints, larger light blue paw prints, and occasional white paw prints with claws, scattered across a predominantly white background. And that's not all! In the center, slightly off-center, stands a silhouette of a majestic black cat, facing counterclockwise, with its tail curved and raised. Behind it, four black paw prints, and in front of it, another four black paw prints. Talk about a design that truly captures the essence of feline beauty!
Now, let's delve into the artistry behind this pattern. The "Cat Tracks" pattern is considered to be of Traditional level. What does that mean? Well, it means that highly skilled artists use the "punching" technique of hand stamping to create an array of designs and colors largely inspired by nature. These Traditional patterns are the most common and recognizable patterns in the world of Polish pottery. And because they're so popular, there's no limit in production, allowing a large pool of talented artists to satisfy the demand. This also means that each piece is unique, with slight variations from one to another, making it even more special!
Let's talk about the practicality of this bowl. With a capacity of 16 ounces and dimensions of 5.25" tall, it's the perfect size for your favorite comfort foods. And the best part? It's made and hand-painted in Boleslawiec, Poland by skilled artisans. Polish Pottery is known for being both functional and beautiful, and this bowl is no exception. With its vibrant colors and intricate design, it's a great way to add useful splashes of color to your home. And don't worry about its durability - it's made of high-quality materials that are tough, durable, and chip resistant. Plus, it's free of lead, nickel, or cadmium, making it safe for your family.
Now, let's take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship behind this bowl. Manufactured by Ceramika Artystyczna, a leading ceramics workshop in Boleslawiec, Poland, this bowl is a true work of art. Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
