Imagine a dash of old-world charm right on your kitchen counter, wrapped in the sophisticated elegance of the Polish Pottery Butter Dish from Manufaktura. Crafted in the picturesque town of Boleslawiec, Poland, this exquisite piece is more than just a home for your butter—it's a statement of artistry. The "Black Spray" pattern of this American Butter Dish showcases a mesmerizing tree branch design in stark black against a crisp white background. This simple yet captivating motif is part of the Traditional line of designs, which are celebrated for their timeless appeal and widespread recognition in the realm of Polish pottery.
Each of these butter dishes is a unique masterpiece, hand-painted by highly skilled artisans using the ancient "punching" technique of hand stamping. This method allows for a rich expression of creativity, largely inspired by the natural beauty surrounding Boleslawiec. Despite being categorized as "simpler" patterns, the Traditional designs carry a charm that is limitless in production, drawing upon the largest pool of artists to meet its popularity. This means every piece you bring into your home carries slight variations, adding to its unique character and story. Not only is it a functional item for your daily use, but it also serves as a conversation starter about the rich heritage of Polish craftsmanship.
Not only does the Manufaktura Butter Dish enhance the aesthetic of your kitchen, but it is also crafted to withstand the rigors of daily life. This dish is safe for use in the dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven (up to 425 degrees), making it a versatile companion in your culinary adventures. Made from high-quality materials, it is tough, durable, and resistant to chipping. Plus, it's free from harmful substances like lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring that it's as safe as it is beautiful. Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
