With its delightful ensemble of light blue hues complemented by dashes of green, orange, and red, this canister isn't just a storage option—it's a centerpiece. The dance of black swallows circling a cluster of vivid flowers brings a touch of nature's whimsy right into your home.

But this is no ordinary piece of pottery. This canister belongs to the elite Unikat category, a testament to unparalleled craftsmanship and creativity. Unikat, meaning "Unique" in Polish, represents a tier of artistry where only the most skilled artisans dare to tread. These masterpieces require painstaking attention to detail and flaunt a complexity of colors that elevate them above traditional designs. Each piece proudly bears a "UNIKAT" stamp on its base, marking its authenticity and exclusivity. Whether used for storing essentials or simply admired as art, this canister stands out as a testament to the artisan's skill and passion.

Made and meticulously hand-painted in the historic town of Boleslawiec, Poland, this canister embodies a legacy of ceramic art dating back to the 1800s. The Zaklady Ceramiczne factory, where it comes to life, holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest of its kind in the region. Not only is this Polish Pottery a feast for the eyes, but it is also incredibly durable, safe for use with food and beverages, and compatible with dishwashers, microwaves, and ovens up to 425 degrees. With this exquisite canister, you invite both history and functionality into your home, making every glance a visual delight and every use a nod to artisanal heritage.

Care information

Cleaning

Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.

Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:

You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.

Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!

While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
