Description
Imagine sipping your morning coffee or tea from a mug that not only keeps your drink delightfully warm but also brightens your day with its unique design. Introducing the "John's Mug" from Manufaktura, a masterpiece in the "Scandinavian Scarlet" pattern. This 12 oz. Polish pottery mug, crafted in Boleslawiec, Poland, is a fusion of functionality and artistry. The tall and slim design is not just pleasing to the eye but engineered to keep your beverages hot for longer periods. The Scandinavian Scarlet pattern is a visual symphony, featuring a crisp white background interlaced with blue geometric patterns and adorned with vibrant red bellflowers and elegant teal blossoms. This isn't just a mug; it's a piece of art that promises to elevate your drinking experience.
The allure of this mug lies in its exceptional Unikat design. "Unikat," meaning unique in Polish, represents a higher tier of craftsmanship, where the complexity and color variety in patterns are enhanced dramatically. Each Unikat piece is a testament to the evolving skills of the artisans who are encouraged to express more detailed and intricate artistry as they advance. Notably, each mug bears a "UNIKAT" stamp on its base, a mark of authenticity and exclusivity. This stamp acts like a copyright, signifying that the pattern belongs exclusively to Manufaktura. Such pieces require more labor and precision, crafted by a select group of artists, making them not only more intricate but also more treasured.
But the charm of Polish pottery doesn't stop at its aesthetics. Each mug is hand-painted and made from materials that are not only tough and durable but also free from lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring safety and longevity. Polish pottery is renowned for its ability to withstand the rigors of daily use while maintaining its beauty. Safe for use in the dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven (up to 425 degrees), this mug is designed for convenience and versatility. Whether you're hosting a gathering or enjoying a quiet moment alone, the John's Mug from Manufaktura is a perfect choice. Since 1992, Manufaktura has been at the forefront of promoting Polish pottery globally, setting trends and standards in the industry, and this mug is a shining example of their commitment to excellence.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
