Description
Imagine starting your day with a touch of artistry and tradition, perfectly encapsulated in the John's Mug by Manufaktura. This isn't just any mug; it's a 12 oz. marvel of Polish pottery, handcrafted in the quaint town of Boleslawiec, Poland. Known for keeping your coffee or tea delightfully warm for extended periods, its slim and tall design is both elegant and practical. The "Ducks in a Row" pattern features an enchanting scene of large green ducks with whimsical blue heads, parading around the mug against a serene white background with light blue weaves. This delightful design not only captivates the eye but also tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and love.
What sets this mug apart is its Unikat status, a term derived from the Polish word for "unique". Unikat patterns represent a pinnacle of artistic achievement in Polish pottery, requiring more skill, time, and a kaleidoscope of colors to create. Each Unikat piece is a testament to the artist's advanced capabilities and is marked with a special "UNIKAT" stamp on the bottom, signifying its authenticity and exclusivity. This stamp not only confirms the piece's origin from Manufaktura but also its uniqueness in design and craftsmanship. Owning a Unikat mug means you’re holding a piece of art that carries a rich history and a splash of exclusivity.
Not only is the John's Mug a visual treat, but it's also built to stand the test of time. Crafted from high-quality materials, it resists chipping and withstands daily use, being safe for the dishwasher, microwave, and even the oven up to 425 degrees. Whether you’re looking to elevate your morning routine or searching for that perfect, eye-catching piece for your dinner party, this mug fits the bill spectacularly. Plus, it’s completely free of lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring your beverage is as safe as it is delicious. Add a burst of color and a dash of Polish heritage to your table with this exquisite piece from Manufaktura, a pioneer in the world of Polish pottery since 1992.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
