Description

Step into a world where tradition meets modern charm with the Polish Pottery Container from W.R. Ceramika. This delightful round, covered container is not just a place to store your everyday items; it's a piece of art. Measuring 5 inches by 4 inches and crafted in the quaint town of Boleslawiec, Poland, this container is perfect for jazzing up your kitchen or bathroom. Imagine it there on your counter, holding cotton balls or sweeteners, adding a dash of whimsy with its "Dot to Dot" pattern. This design features playful white polka dots sprinkled across a vibrant cobalt blue backdrop, a testament to the traditional artistry that Polish pottery is famous for.

The "Dot to Dot" pattern belongs to the Traditional category, the most recognizable in Polish pottery. Each piece is uniquely brought to life using the "punching" technique of hand stamping, where highly skilled artists use simple tools to make each dot. Despite being considered simpler in design, these patterns hold a charm that captures the heart of many. Since the design is popular, it’s produced in large quantities, and no two pieces are exactly the same. The slight variations from one piece to another make each container uniquely yours. This container not only promises utility and durability but also stands as a collector's joy due to its artistic variance and traditional roots.

Not only is this Polish Pottery Container a treat for the eyes, but it's also built to last. Made from high-quality materials, it is tough, durable, and chip-resistant. It's perfectly safe for use with food and beverages, and you can pop it into the dishwasher, microwave, freezer, or oven (up to 425 degrees) without a worry. Each piece is free from Lead, Nickel, or Cadmium, ensuring safety and quality. Produced by W.R. Ceramika, a boutique firm known for its emphasis on unique designs and established in 1978 by J.K. Rutyna, this pottery piece carries with it a story of artistic heritage and meticulous craftsmanship. Don’t miss the chance to own or gift this little treasure, as it is sourced from the smallest manufacturer we partner with, making each shipment rare and each piece that much more special.

Care information

Cleaning

Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.

Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:

You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.

Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!

While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
