April 29, 2017
In February 2016, my business partner and I attended The Ambiente Exposition in Frankfurt, Germany. The exposition is one of the largest of its kind, where manufacturers of household related items from around the world come together at the Messe Frankfurt Exposition Center to show their wares.
At the exposition, we visited the booths of the three main manufacturers of Polish Pottery: Manufaktura, Zaklady, and Ceramika Artystyczna. It was there that my partner, Waldek, and I decided to pursue our very first order from Ceramika Artystyczna.
Shortly after, we submitted the order to Ceramika Artystycna (CA for short). Taken by what I saw at the Ambiente show, I added a selection of some of CA's 5th Level Unikat Patterns. This was a new level to their catalog, which consisted of 3 levels of "Basic" patterns and 4 levels of the signed "Unikat" (or unique) patterns (The "cream of the crop in CA's pottery lines"). My thought was that even though they were quite an investment, I wanted to show our customers the height of artistic excellence in Polish Pottery.
At a retail price of $383.97 for the above set of three plates, I understand why these and the various other U5 items appeal to a very discriminant audience of Polish pottery collectors.
During our trip to visit the manufacturers in Boleslawiec this past month, Ceramika Artystycna conveyed their newest offer. Before I present it to you, I'd like to qualify my position on these beautiful items.
As the buyer for The Polish Pottery Outlet, I weigh the artistic value, functional value, overall quality, and price to make my purchasing decisions. But at the end of the day, you help decide the patterns and items that we maintain in our inventory through your orders.
As beautiful as they are, the cost is too prohibitive for us to consider bringing Ceramika Artystyczna's 2017 Limited Edition items into our inventory at The Polish Pottery Outlet. However, I think it's important to share these artistic pieces with you, otherwise, I know you most likely would never have the opportunity to see or purchase them anywhere.
Before you find yourselves taken by what you see, you need to know that Ceramika Artystyczna requires one year production time. In addition, even though I'd be happy to place your order, we will require a minimum order of $1000 and a 50% non-refundable deposit on any order placed. Therefore, if money is no object and original art is your passion, this is your opportunity to own unique, incredible, functional art.
I titled this post "The Ten Thousand Dollar Dinner Set," because I put together the prices on 12 Dinner plates (Item -256), 12 Salad plates (Item 086), 12 Bowls (Item B90) and 12 mugs (Item 825). The total exceeded that amount.
This limited edition offering is also limited in the items available from the CA catalog. At the end of this post, you'll find a selection of qualifying items. If you'd like to see the entire list of available items, feel free to contact us at 303-789-0100 and ask for Dan.
Hopefully, I covered all of the fine print. Here you go:
Teresa and Maria have designed many of the patterns in the Ceramika Artystyczna catalog.
Exciting and beautiful, right? Here are a few items Ceramika Artystyczna offers these patterns in. This is not a complete list, nor are the items pictured in the limited edition patterns. Please contact us if you desire the complete list.
So, there is a sampling of items available in the 2017, Ceramika Artystyczna Limited Edition Collection.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any interest in further information. Check out our current collection of Ceramika Artystyczna products.
Wishing you all the very best,
