"Nacho" Average Bake Ware!

"Nacho" Average Bake Ware!

Cindy Calvert |

Since all of our Polish pottery is oven-safe up to 425 degrees, our baking dishes are a fun, beautiful way to serve up your favorite meals! Stan, our website guru and photographer extraordinaire, shared this recipe for nachos he whipped up in his 10"x13" Rectangular Baker (item no. P105).

The first step is make the pico de gallo. You'll need:

-8 Roma tomatoes

-1/2 onion

-1 jalapeno

-Fresh cilantro

-Salt to taste

Dice the tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro. Mix well, add salt, and you're good to go!

Next, preheat the oven to 375 degrees while you prepare the taco meat. Brown 1lb of ground beef or turkey in a non-stick skillet, drain excess grease, add your favorite taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water, and allow to simmer for about 3-5 minutes uncovered, until thickened.

In your 10"x13" Rectangular Baker (item no. P105) lay down a layer of your favorite brand of tortilla chips.

Add a layer of shredded cheese, taco meat, and pico de gallo.

Lay down another layer of chips, then more meat, cheese, and pico.

Repeat for as many layers as you would like and place in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted throughout.

Remove from the oven, top with sour cream or guacamole if desired, and serve right out of the pan!

The high glaze on all of our pottery makes cleanup a snap! This picture was taken BEFORE the pan was cleaned! Even the cheesiest, gooiest dishes lift right out with ease! It's just one of the many reasons Polish pottery is so special!
