Simply place a small amount of water in the bottom dish, fill the top half of the crock with your favorite butter or margarine, and leave on your kitchen counter or dining room table for fresh, spreadable butter any time!

Pro tip: add a dash of salt to the water to prevent molding along the edges, allowing you to change the water less frequently!

Butter Crock

I’ve wanted one for quite awhile. I’m not having luck keeping the butter in the top part. I lift the lid and the butter is in the bottom. Working it out

Great Source of Polish Pottery!

My step-daughter was eyeing these Polish butter keepers at a specialty store near St Louis. I was so happy to find one at a much more reasonable price for her Christmas gift. It's a beautifully made piece - the pattern is so cute. Delivery was quick and easy - well packaged to avoid breakage. My family has a strong sense of our Polish heritage, so I will be shopping here frequently for gifts.

Kinda disappointed

It’s very pretty, but I’m not certain how to use it. I sent an email asking for directions, but I haven’t heard back yet. Right now it’s just sitting in the cupboard.

The Polish Pottery Outlet

Hi there, I don't see any emails regarding this dish, so it may have not gone through for some reason! We do have some instructions in our item description on the website, but basically you want to put your butter in the part that is attached to the lid and pour a small amount of water in the base. The butter will hang upside from the lid, and will stay soft and spreadable! Just make sure to change the water every few days to prevent mold. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!
