Introducing the Polish Pottery 8.5" Round Salad Plate by Manufaktura, now available in the vibrant "Red Daisy Daze" pattern (P227). This salad plate is not only perfect for salads, but also for serving your sandwiches, cookies, and desserts. In fact, everything just loves to be served on Polish Pottery!
The "Red Daisy Daze" pattern is a true masterpiece, featuring a stunning combination of flowers in predominantly blue, with accents in red, orange, and green. The center of the plate showcases delicate white circles and rings on a mesmerizing blue background. As you move towards the edges, you'll find red and orange flowers separating thin bands of small cadet gray flowers, with occasional clusters of three small teal green leaves. It's a pattern that truly brings life and joy to any table.
What sets this pattern apart is its Unikat level of artistry. Unikat patterns are considered to be "Unique" in Polish, and they take artistry to the next level. As artists progress in their skills, they are encouraged to work on Unikat designs, which display more detail and incorporate a greater number of colors and elements. You can easily identify Unikat patterns by the "UNIKAT" stamp on the bottom, serving as a sort of copyright symbol that indicates the pattern belongs to that specific manufacturer.
But here's the catch - Unikat patterns require more work and attention to detail, which is why they are painted by a smaller pool of artists and are slightly more expensive than Traditional patterns. However, the extra effort is worth it when you see the stunning result. Each plate is a true work of art, hand-painted by skilled artisans in Boleslawiec, Poland.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
