About this product

Introducing the Polish Pottery 8.5" Round Salad Plate by Manufaktura in the vibrant "Fiesta" pattern (U1). This plate is not just for salads, but also perfect for sandwiches, cookies, and desserts. In fact, everything loves to be served on Polish Pottery! The "Fiesta" pattern is a delightful combination of design elements incorporating Flowers in a predominantly Blue color, with accents in Light Blue, Pink, and Yellow.

Let's take a closer look at this exquisite pattern. The white background is adorned with dense bands of tiny blue dots in the center, creating a mesmerizing effect. Surrounding the center are large and highly detailed light blue flowers, adding a touch of elegance. And don't forget the edges, where you'll find another band of stunning orange flowers. The empty spaces are filled with lush green leaves, while tiny blue circles line the edges of the flowers and form a captivating hexagonal pattern in the leaves. This pattern is considered to be Unikat level of artistry, taking creativity to the next level!

Unikat patterns, meaning "Unique" in Polish, showcase the exceptional talent of the artists. As their skills progress, they are encouraged to work on Unikat designs, which display more detail and incorporate a greater number of colors and elements. You can easily identify Unikat patterns by the "UNIKAT" stamp on the bottom, serving as a sort of copyright symbol. This stamp signifies that the pattern belongs to that specific manufacturer.

While Unikat patterns require more work and attention to detail, they are truly worth the investment. Painted by a smaller pool of artists, these patterns are a bit more expensive than Traditional patterns. However, the result is a piece of pottery that is not only functional but also a work of art. The Polish Pottery 8.5" Round Salad Plate is a prime example of this craftsmanship, bringing both beauty and practicality to your table.

Care information

Cleaning

Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.

Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:

You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.

Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!

While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
