                  Description
Imagine the charm of a rustic Polish kitchen infused with the craftsmanship of local artisans—this is the essence captured in the delightful "Mosquito" pattern of the Polish Pottery Pan by W.R. Ceramika. Crafted in the picturesque town of Boleslawiec, Poland, this 9.8" tart pan is more than just a baking vessel; it's a piece of art. Adorned with whimsical white polka dots set against a vibrant cobalt blue background, and accented by a unique band of brown dots interspersed with playful green "mosquitoes," this pan turns every baking experience into a joyful celebration. Whether it's a golden-brown quiche or a sweet, crumbly pie, your culinary creations will look as stunning as they taste!
The "Mosquito" pattern belongs to the Traditional category of Polish pottery designs, which are renowned for their beauty and ubiquity. Employing the ancient "punching" technique, skilled artists use hand stamps to breathe life into each piece, making every pan uniquely yours. While these patterns are termed "simple," their charm lies in their familiarity and the endless variations crafted by the largest pool of talented potters in Boleslawiec. The result? A delightful variance that ensures no two pieces are exactly alike, allowing you to own a distinct slice of Polish heritage. Plus, with its high-gloss glaze, the pan promises a swift cleanup, letting you spend more time enjoying your creations and less time scrubbing!
This Polish Pottery Pan is not only a feast for the eyes but also a marvel of durability. Designed to withstand the rigors of daily use, it is safe for the dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven—resilient up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Completely free of lead, nickel, and cadmium, and crafted by the revered W.R. Ceramika—a boutique pottery studio founded in 1978 by J.K. Rutyna—each piece reflects a commitment to quality and creativity. W.R. Ceramika's offerings are rare treasures in the pottery world, making this pan a must-have for both avid collectors and those new to the enchanting world of Polish pottery. Mix and match it with other pieces to create a captivating array on your table that's sure to impress any guest!

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
