Description

Introducing the Polish Pottery 9" Square Salad Plate by Manufaktura in the whimsical "Butterfly Garden" pattern (MOT1). This plate is not your average round dish - it's square and contemporary! With portions similar to the 10" dinner plate, these square salad plates are a fantastic substitute for the regular round routine.

The "Butterfly Garden" pattern is a delightful combination of butterflies and flowers, all showcased on a predominantly white background with beautiful blue accents. A band of white flowers outlined in blue stretches through the center from two adjacent corners, while a few large butterflies gracefully adorn the remaining 3/4 of the pattern. This enchanting design is considered to be a Traditional level of artistry.

Traditional patterns are the most common and recognizable in the world of Polish pottery. Highly skilled artists use the "punching" technique of hand stamping to create an array of designs and colors, drawing inspiration from nature. These patterns, including "Butterfly Garden," are known for their simplicity and are produced in large quantities to meet the demand of pottery enthusiasts worldwide.

Each piece of Polish Pottery is unique due to the multitude of artists involved in the creation process. This means that there is quite a bit of variance from piece to piece, making each plate a one-of-a-kind work of art. The capacity and dimensions of this particular plate are 9" square, providing plenty of space for your delicious salads.

Handcrafted and hand-painted in Boleslawiec, Poland by skilled artisans, Polish Pottery is not only functional but also exquisitely beautiful. It allows you to add useful splashes of color to your home and provides endless opportunities for mixing and matching to create stunning combinations that will impress your guests. Rest assured that this pottery is not only a feast for the eyes but also food and beverage safe.

Furthermore, this plate is designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use. It is safe for use in the dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, freezer, and even the oven (up to 425 degrees). Crafted with high-quality materials, it is tough, durable, and chip-resistant. Additionally, it is free of lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring your safety and peace of mind.

Manufactured by Manufaktura, the first pottery manufacturer that The Polish Pottery Outlet chose to collaborate with when they opened their doors in 2006, this product is a testament to the excellence and innovation that Manufaktura represents. Established in 1992, Manufaktura has garnered awards for their stunning designs and their efforts to promote Polish pottery worldwide. They are considered trendsetters in the industry and are highly regarded as one of the most important producers of Polish pottery in Boleslawiec.

Care information

Cleaning

Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.

Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:

You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.

Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!

While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
