Introducing the Polish Pottery 5" Small Round Casserole W/Handles by Manufaktura in the captivating "Blue Diamond" pattern (DHR). These adorable, round dishes are not only perfect for serving hot dips or individual desserts, but they also add a touch of elegance to any table setting.
The "Blue Diamond" pattern features a mesmerizing combination of geometric designs in a predominantly light blue color, with accents in dark blue and yellow. The simplicity of small yellow and light blue flowers organized in bands around the center against a dark blue background creates a visually stunning effect.
What sets this pattern apart is its Unikat level of artistry. Unikat patterns, meaning "Unique" in Polish, showcase the incredible talent of the artists who create them. As artists hone their skills, they are encouraged to work on Unikat designs, which incorporate more intricate details and a greater number of colors and elements.
Each piece in the Unikat collection is identified by a special "UNIKAT" stamp on the bottom, serving as a symbol of authenticity and indicating that the pattern belongs to a specific manufacturer. Due to the extra work and attention to detail required, Unikat patterns are painted by a select group of artists and are slightly more expensive than Traditional patterns.
Not only is this small round casserole dish a work of art, but it is also highly functional. With a capacity of 14 oz and dimensions of 5" diameter and 7.5" wide (including handles), it is perfect for individual portions. Made and hand-painted in Boleslawiec, Poland by skilled artisans, this Polish Pottery piece is a testament to the rich tradition and craftsmanship of the region.
Polish Pottery is not just about beauty; it is about practicality too. The high-quality materials used in its production make it tough, durable, and chip-resistant. It is also free of lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring that it is safe for use with food and beverages. You can confidently use it in the dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, freezer, and oven (up to 425 degrees).
This particular piece was manufactured by Manufaktura, the first pottery manufacturer that The Polish Pottery Outlet chose to collaborate with when it opened its doors in 2006. Established in 1992, Manufaktura has earned recognition for its stunning designs and its efforts to promote Polish pottery worldwide. Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
