Introducing the Polish Pottery 7.5" x 4" American Butter Dish by Manufaktura in the captivating "Peacock in Line" pattern (54A). This butter dish is not just any ordinary dish; it is a stunning and eye-catching home for your stick of butter or margarine! The "Peacock in Line" pattern is a true work of art, combining elements of peacocks and geometric shapes in a predominantly blue color with accents in white and brown. The center of the dish features a large cluster of peacock circles on a mesmerizing blue background, while fine blue lines extend against a crisp white background from the center to the edges. It is a pattern that will surely make a statement on your dining table!
What makes this pattern even more special is that it falls under the Traditional level of artistry. Traditional patterns are the most common and recognizable patterns in the world of Polish pottery. Using the unique "punching" technique of hand stamping, highly skilled artists create an array of designs and colors largely inspired by nature. While these patterns may be considered "simpler," there is no limit to their production, allowing the largest pool of artists to combine their talents and satisfy the demand. As a result, you may come across variations of these patterns across different manufacturers, making each piece truly unique.
The capacity and dimensions of this American Butter Dish are 4" x 7.5" x 4", making it the perfect size to hold your stick of butter or margarine. Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
