Introducing the Polish Pottery 7.75" Bowl by Manufaktura in the captivating "Smooth Sailing" pattern (DPMA). This bowl is not just your ordinary kitchen essential - it's a vessel of culinary creativity! Whether you're tossing a fresh salad, kneading dough for your famous homemade bread, or serving up a comforting pasta dish, this bowl will make your favorite recipes shine.
Let's talk about the mesmerizing "Smooth Sailing" pattern that adorns this bowl. Picture a sea of blue, with elegant sailboats gliding through the waves. The predominantly blue design is accented with hints of white and gray, adding a touch of sophistication. The bowl itself features a white background with a bold one-inch border of red and dark blue sailboats, surrounded by gentle light blue waves. And if you look closely, you'll notice delicate pin-sized white dots scattered across the dark blue, forming perfect circles. It's a true work of art!
But what makes this pattern even more special is its rich tradition. Considered a Traditional level of artistry, this pattern represents the most common and recognizable designs in the world of Polish pottery. Talented artists use the ancient "punching" technique of hand stamping to create an array of nature-inspired patterns and colors. With no limit to production, the largest pool of artists come together to meet the demand, resulting in unique variations from piece to piece. It's like owning a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
Not only is this bowl visually stunning, but it's also highly functional. With a capacity of 44 oz. (that's 5.5 cups), it's perfect for serving generous portions. Crafted and hand-painted in Boleslawiec, Poland by skilled artisans, this Polish Pottery bowl is a testament to their craftsmanship. And the best part? It's not just a decorative piece - it's built to withstand the demands of everyday use. Made from high-quality materials, it's tough, durable, and chip-resistant. Plus, it's free of lead, nickel, and cadmium, ensuring your family's safety.
Now, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible manufacturer behind this masterpiece - Manufaktura. When The Polish Pottery Outlet opened its doors in 2006, they chose Manufaktura as their first partner. Established in 1992, Manufaktura has earned numerous awards for their stunning designs and their dedication to promoting Polish pottery worldwide. They are the trendsetters in the pottery industry, and their name is synonymous with excellence in Boleslawiec. By owning a piece from Manufaktura, you're not just buying a bowl - you're owning a piece of history and craftsmanship.

Cleaning
Polish Pottery is Dishwasher safe! Or, clean by hand using regular dish soap and scrub brush.
Guidelines to keep your pottery in excellent condition:
You may safely use Polish pottery in the microwave and in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 425°F. We recommend you heat your stoneware up to temperature with the oven. Make sure to always cover the entire bottom of the dish when baking. For example, you don't want to put a single chicken breast in the center of a baker and leave the rest of the surface area uncovered, as the empty spots will heat at a different rate than those with food on them. Polish pottery does not like quick changes in temperature or uneven heat sources, and thermal shock WILL result in a broken dish.
Never place your pottery directly on a hot stovetop burner!
While Polish pottery is extremely durable, it should not be taken directly from the freezer and placed into a hot oven. In addition, cold water or frozen food should not be placed in a hot piece of pottery. Always allow cooling or warming to room temperatures before heating in an oven or placing in a freezer. If taken care of properly, your Polish pottery can last for generations!
